FROSTED GINGER COOKIES - These are a spicy, chewy, ginger snap type of cookie.

2 cups of four
2 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp powdered ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

3/4 cup margerine
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar

Mix together the flour, baking soda, salt and spices. In a separate bowl, cream margerine. Add brown sugar and cream. Add egg and molasses.

Stir the flour mixture into the egg and sugar mixture. Use your hands to form the dough into 1 inch balls. Roll these in white sugar, place on a greased cookie sheet, and flatten slightly with a fork.

Bake at 375 degrees F. for 8 - 10 minutes
